ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – LABOR & EMPLOYMENT

HYBRIDOur client, a leading management-side labor and employment law firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its New York office . This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with substantial employment litigation experience who is looking to work on sophisticated matters for a diverse client base in a fast-paced, nationally recognized practice. The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the chance to work alongside seasoned practitioners handling complex and high-stakes employment matters.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing
- 5–7 years of substantive labor and employment law experience
- Significant experience in employment litigation , including matters in state and federal courts
- Experience defending and prosecuting breaches of restrictive covenants
- Experience preparing and negotiating employment agreements , including executive compensation provisions , strongly preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively within team-based environments
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters , from inception through resolution
- Advise employers on complex workplace law issues , including employee relations, compliance, and risk management
- Draft and negotiate employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and executive compensation provisions
- Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary Range: $280,000 – $315,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses
