Position Summary:

We are currently hiring a temporary Bilingual (English/Spanish) full time Medical Assistant to work in our School-based health center.

The full time temporary assignment will be between 3-6 months.

Key Duties:

• Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
• Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
• Completes referrals and discharges patients.
• Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
• Assist provider with treatments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of related clinical experience required.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant/Registered Medical Assistant (CCMA), required.
• National Phlebotomy Certificate, preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
• Understanding of medical terminology, computer skills, and multi-tasking.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Starting Compensation: Minimum: $21.00/hour; Maximum: $21.00/hour

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

Onsite in Elmhurst, Queens, 40-hour shift Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30 pm.
