Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program - Riverhead, NY (6 Month Program, Off-Site Training)

is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at EEVC .

The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program:

The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.

The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Program Duration/Commitment:

· 6-month training program beginning February 2026 for off-cycle graduates or July 2026 for May graduates

· 1-year commitment as an ER clinician at EEVC following completion of the training program

Location:

- Home Hospital (Start here at month 6 of program): 67 Commerce Drive, Riverhead, NY 11901

Training Hospital (5 months): Veterinary Referral Center (VRC) - 340 Lancaster Ave, Malvern, PA 19366

Program Highlights:

• 5-day work week consisting of 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week, usually consecutive

• Rotate with other specialty services during the training program

• Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts

• No on-call

• Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds

• Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary of $150,000 during mentorship; Post mentorship salary of $200,000
