Mechanical Engineer
Looking for a strong Mechanical Engineer to join a growing MEP consulting firm in Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 4+ years of HVAC design experience who wants to work on large-scale commercial, aviation, mission-critical, and data center projects.
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 4+ years of MEP consulting experience
- HVAC design experience including VRF, VAV, and DOAS systems
- Experience with load calculations, equipment selection, and energy modeling
- Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, Energy Code, and industry standards
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with construction administration, RFIs, submittal reviews, and consultant coordination
- FE/EIT preferred; PE track encouraged
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, aviation, and mission-critical facilities
- Prepare calculations, specifications, and construction documents
- Coordinate with architects, owners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Support permitting, construction administration, and field activities
- Manage project deliverables and maintain project schedules
