Overview
We are seeking a creative and driven Part-Time/Contractor Social Media Specialist, to join our highly professional marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies for our clients, engage with our client’s audiences, and promote our accounts. This role requires a passion for social media, strong communication skills.

We are looking for someone to go to different clients and take photos, high quality videos and do “write ups”. We look forward to hearing from you!

Duties

• Respond to locations in the Great Neck, Manhasset and Port Washington area and take high quality, stunning photos and engaging videos. (Using your iPhone is acceptable, must have IPhone 13 or later)
• Must have significant attention to detail, proper grammar and be able to expertly craft social media captions
• Meet with designated people from accounts we work with, conduct interviews related to their products or services and get high quality, professional content
• Must have a professional and respectful demeanor, and be outgoing to gather people for photo shoots
• Develop and execute social media marketing strategies across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
• Detail oriented, self-check for spelling errors and ensure all postings are in compliance with rules, regulations and professionalism at all times.
• Create engaging content that resonates with target audiences through photography, graphic design, and written posts.
• Monitor social media channels for trends and conversations using social listening tools to engage with followers and respond to inquiries.
• Utilize Hootsuite or similar tools for scheduling posts and managing multiple accounts efficiently.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media campaigns with overall marketing goals.
• Conduct proofreading of all content to ensure accuracy and brand consistency before publication.
• Analyze social media performance metrics and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, making recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends

Skills

• Proficiency in social media marketing with a strong understanding of various platforms.
• Experience in graphic design and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (including Adobe Illustrator) for creating visually appealing content.
• Strong photography skills to produce high-quality images for posts.
• Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure all content is polished and professional.
• Familiarity with advertising on social media platforms to drive engagement and conversions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
