Architectural Drafter

Job Summary
Westchester based Architectural firm seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will translate architectural concepts and sketches into precise technical drawings and plans that guide construction and design projects. Your expertise will support architects and engineers in creating functional, aesthetically appealing structures by producing accurate 2D and 3D drafting models. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial developments, utilizing cutting-edge drafting software and design tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed architectural drawings, schematics, and construction documents using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, or Rhinoceros 3D.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to interpret design concepts into precise technical drawings.
• Assist in system design, interior layouts, mechanical systems, and graphic representations for various architectural projects.
• Prepare presentation materials and detailed drafting documentation for construction purposes while ensuring compliance with building codes and standards.
• Review and modify design documents as needed.
• Document management throughout project phases.
• Support the development of construction schematics, interior designs, and mechanical layouts with clarity and accuracy.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Architectural or related field.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, or Rhinoceros 3D or similiar design software.
• Strong understanding of drafting standards, schematics development, and construction documentation processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of interior design principles, system design integration, and graphic presentation techniques.
• Ability to interpret architectural sketches and translate them into detailed technical drawings.
• Experience with mechanical design or system layout is a plus.
