Key Responsibilities of the RN - OR Operating Room

• Perform phlebotomy and IV placements
• Assist in various surgical procedures including bariatric, ENT, and orthopedic surgeries
• Ensure adherence to infection control and universal protocols
• Handle and label specimens accurately
• Maintain safety standards, including laser and radiation safety
• Respond effectively to codes and emergencies

Requirements of the RN - OR Operating Room

• BLS Certification
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience
• Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• NY state license in hand
