Host
Fiddlesticks is looking for an experienced host to work 3/4 shifts a week. You'll be the face of the bar — knowledgeable, personable, and attentive — ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well looked after from arrival to last call. The ideal applicant has hospitality and food service experience and is able to work great in a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
Giving guests accurate wait time estimates
Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
Coordinate closely with managers and waitstaff about table readiness
Requirements:
Previous NYC restaurant/bar experience, 1 year minimum.
Must have an upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude
Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills
Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively within a team
Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and/or wine is an advantage
