Real Estate Attorney/Associate (Landlord-Side Real Estate Finance) - New York, NY - ONSITE

A New York-based firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its growing real estate practice and team. This role offers hands-on exposure to complex commercial real estate matters, including financing, acquisitions, leasing, and related transactions, with the opportunity to work closely alongside an experienced dealmaker.

Responsibilities:

Transactional Work (Core Focus):

• Draft and negotiate a range of commercial real estate documents, including financing agreements, leases, and purchase/sale contracts
• Support transactions involving acquisitions, dispositions, and structured real estate investments
• Assist with joint ventures, operating agreements, and complex ownership arrangements
• Work on matters involving ground leases, loan restructurings, and workout scenarios

Deal Execution & Coordination:

• Support transactions from initial deal terms through closing
• Review due diligence materials such as title, survey, zoning, and financial documents
• Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, brokers, title companies, and other parties
• Prepare closing materials and assist with post-closing follow-up

Litigation Support (as needed):

• Assist with real estate-related disputes, including foreclosures and contract matters
• Conduct legal research and help prepare filings and motions

Qualifications :

• 2–6 years of experience in commercial real estate law
• Admitted in New York
• Background in at least one of the following: Real estate finance; Leasing; Acquisitions and dispositions; Joint ventures xrczosw or deal structuring
• Exposure to real estate litigation is a plus
• Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Client-focused with strong communication and attention to detail

Additional Details:

• Billable requirement: 1,500 hours
• Schedule: Fully Onsite
• Compensation: Competitive base salary + discretionary bonus
