Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. - Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
- Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from New York, NY.
- Submit a one-page resume that outlines your work experience, accomplishments, and your graduation month and year.
- Submit a cover letter that highlights your passion for NBCUniversal, the locations (listed below) you are open to for internships, and your top areas of interest (opportunities listed below).
- Upload a transcript (unofficial transcripts are fine) that confirms your status as an actively enrolled student in a degree-granting program.
- Marketing: The intern’s primary function is to support the Brand Partnerships Team in their efforts to develop innovative integrated marketing initiatives that secure distribution, drive distributors and NBCUniversal revenues and reinforce the value of the NBCUniversal portfolio with our distribution partners, with a focus on sports, P1 films, NBC & News, and Peacock originals.
- Sales: NBCUniversal’s Platform Distribution & Partnerships division is responsible for negotiating and managing the distribution of NBCUniversal’s broadcast and cable networks, the Peacock streaming service and Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channels. The Sales Team plays a pivotal role in securing and optimizing content distribution agreements with leading partners like Charter, Roku, FuboTV and LG that the intern will get exposure to. The Platform Distribution & Partnerships Sales team intern will get an opportunity to learn about the strategic and operational aspects of media distribution. This includes how network distribution contracts are structured and the day-to-day partnership work. Also, the intern will be contributing to overall account support and compiling Peacock and FAST channel data reports across various platforms.
- Digital: As a Digital Products intern, you will get to see how the Product team works with NBCU brands and teams across the Platform Distribution & Partnership group and learn how decisions are made, and gain insight into how products are developed for our audiences.
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2026 internship program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026.
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- For Sales - Seeking a degree in business, communications, finance, or marketing.
- For Digital - Data analysis using Excel, Tableau and/or reporting tools.
