Live-Out Seasonal Housekeeper

Private Family from Greenwich, CT is Seeking a Seasonal Live-Out Housekeeper for their stay in the Hamptons (Amagansett), New York

Position: Full-Time, Temporary, Live-Out Housekeeper (Seasonal)

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM

Note: Fourth of July week schedule will shift to Tuesday–Sunday. Hours will be 8:00 AM–6:00 PM Tuesday–Friday and 9:00 AM–7:00 PM Saturday & Sunday, with Monday off that week.

Salary: $40–$45 per hour, DOE (negotiable for the right candidate)

Start Date: June 15th through July 31st

Relocation: NO – local candidates preferred

Home Size: Large summer residence

Pets: Three friendly dogs - a Maltipoo, a Pomeranian, and an Australian Shepherd; M ust be a dog lover

Household Staff: Seasonal Nanny; Collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks including general upkeep and deep cleaning to maintain a pristine home
• Handle all laundry and ironing (bedding sent out for dry cleaning)
• Run household errands including dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, post office visits, and grocery shopping
• Assist with light cooking, coffee preparation, and serving meals as needed
• Set both formal and informal table settings with attention to detail
• Organize and maintain pantry and refrigerator, including stocking, inventory tracking, and discarding expired items
• Monitor and restock household supplies as needed
• Provide evening turndown service
• Care for family dogs, including feeding, letting them out throughout the day, and daily walks
• Check and comb dogs daily for ticks and ensure their overall well-being
• Coordinate pet-related errands such as grooming drop-offs and pick-ups

Requirements

• Prior experience as a housekeeper in a private home
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable with dogs and experienced in pet care
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for errands)
• Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism at all times
