Long-Term Live-In Nanny / Family Assistant – Rye, NY

Position Overview
A dynamic and active family in Rye, NY is seeking an experienced, confident, and highly organized Live-In Nanny / Family Assistant to support their household and care for four school-aged children (ages 8–13). This is a long-term opportunity for a professional caregiver who thrives in a structured yet fast-paced environment and enjoys working with older children.
Live-In Accommodations
- Spacious, furnished private 2-bedroom living quarters with a kitchen and living room
- Private entrance
- Access to a fully equipped on-site gym
- Comfortable, separate living space designed to support long-term employment and privacy
Schedule Details
- Monday–Friday
- Approximately 2:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Flexibility with start and end times is essential
- On-call full days when children are home from school
- Occasional overnight coverage required
Children
- Four children, ages 8–13
- Active, engaged, and school-aged
- Children have tutors; nanny oversees homework completion and routines
Household Notes
- Strictly gluten-free and nut-free household
- One child has celiac disease
- All meals must adhere carefully to dietary restrictions
- Additional household staff may be present
Responsibilities
- Supervision and care of four school-aged children
- Managing after-school, evening, and bedtime routines
- Overseeing homework and coordinating with tutors
- Preparing gluten-free, nut-free meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner as needed)
- Light cooking and full meal prep for children
- Driving children to activities and appointments (car provided; occasional use of personal vehicle may be required)
- Running family-related errands
- Organizational projects (closets, pantry, toys, etc.)
- Light child-related tidying
- Maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with multiple school-aged children
- Open to candidates with college, master’s, or advanced degrees
- Background as a Nanny, Family Assistant, Household Manager, or Nanny-Cook
- Comfortable managing strict dietary restrictions
- Strong swimmer
- Reliable, organized, proactive, and highly flexible
- Confident managing evening routines and overnight care
- Tutoring or teaching experience a plus (children have tutors; oversight required)
Compensation & Benefits
- Up to $150,000+ annually , commensurate with experience
