Summary of Role:
As a Princip al Industrial Engineer, you’ll collaborate with other members of the Industrial Engineering department, Advanced Module Engineering, Finance, Facilities, Manufacturing/Operations Engineering & Product Integration teams to support Capital Expenses, assist with fab capacity data and ultimately improve factory output and reduce cycle time. Clear communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. This role is fully onsite at our Fab 8, Malta, NY facility.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Understand Capacity Planning Systems and methods to calculate fab capacity/cycle time
- Update and run the capacity model for both ramp plans and new product analyses
- Analyze capacity output and make recommendations on fab tooling purchases, retrofits or transfers
- Understand and execute on capital processes and support capital execution/tracking
- Create detailed documentation of business processes, IE specifications, and operating procedures
- Support various departments in improving factory output using advanced analytics
- Participate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other project technical teams
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Other responsibilities as assigned by manager / supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- Education - BS in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Science discipline
- Experience - Minimum 4-year relevant technical experience for a high-volume manufacturing company, preferably semiconductor wafer manufacturing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a cross-functional teams
- Travel Requirements: up to 10%
- Language Fluency: English (both Written & Verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing science discipline
- Knowledge of Factory Physics and Principles
- Experience in a Wafer Fab or High-Volume Manufacturing Facility
- Knowledge of or training in Capacity Planning
- Lean six sigma certification
Expected Salary Range
$85,000.00 - $146,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
