UX Designer

Our client, a global entertainment company, is looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the evolution of our Content Discovery experience with expert understanding of UX strategy, systems thinking, and design excellence. We’re looking for a designer who excels at solving complex problems, aligning design with product goals, and crafting seamless, elegant, highly usable experiences.

• This is an ongoing freelance assignment. Pay rate range: $60-$70 / hour

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end design for content discovery experiences—from initial concepts to production-ready solutions that are scalable, intuitive, and visually compelling.

• Apply strong UX architecture and product thinking to solve complex problems and create user-centered, business-aligned design solutions.

• Deliver high-quality, production-ready UX that meets platform standards, accessibility guidelines, and evolving design system practices.

• Communicate with clarity and influence, crafting compelling narratives that inspire alignment and gain buy-in across teams and leadership.

• Own projects with confidence, managing timelines, feedback cycles, and cross-functional collaboration with independence and accountability.

• Use research and data to guide design decisions, validate hypotheses, and shape thoughtful user experiences.

• Foster team excellence by mentoring peers, sharing expertise, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing design culture.

• Experiment and adapt quickly, embracing iterative execution that balances speed with quality

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years designing digital products across platforms (web, mobile, TV, etc.).

• Experience designing AI-powered experiences and understanding generative AI technologies and emerging trends.

• Deep understanding of interaction design, usability, accessibility, and user-centered design principles.

• Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (Figma, Miro, Jira, Framer, etc.).

• Ability to operate independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Proven ability to lead design initiatives and guide others through the creative process.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

• A portfolio showcasing engaging, high-quality work with a strong point of view.

• Strong knowledge of cross-platform usability standards and UI specifications.

• Familiarity with platforms such as Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, Apple TV, and X1.

• Experience designing for accessibility, global audiences, and ad-supported experiences is a plus.
