The adjunct Director Veteran Benefits will be involved with the day to day operations on the veterans benefits team within the Student Financial Services. The adjunct Director will be a School Certifying Official (SCO) with primary responsibility for certifying benefits with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The adjunct Director will also be responsible for communicating with students via phone, email and message center. This is a full-time hybrid function with a minimum of two required days at Excelsior's home office of 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY, with the remainder of the days worked in the house.

tasks and Responsibilities:

»Veterans Benefit School Certifying Official (SCO).

»Providing student support via phone, email and message center.

»Keep current on regulations related to veterans benefits.

»Support the collection of required documentation and processing of forms related to veterans benefits.

»Assist with developing, revising, and updating processes of the unit related to programs administered by the college.

»Liaison with Department of Veterans Affairs.

»Participate in continuing professional development along with the encouragement of the growth of colleagues.

»Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned in support of the needs of the unit and the students we serve.

The hiring income range for this job offer is $46,000.00 - $54,000.00. The hiring income range above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.
