Data Engineer
ExodusPoint Capital Management, LP has an opening for a Data Engineer in New York, NY. This is a hybrid position; employee will work 3 days in the office and can work remotely 2 days from within the U.S. Build a next generation data offering for ExodusPoints diverse investment teams, varying across asset classes and strategies. Build applications using Python, SQL, Kafka, AWS, and other related technologies. Design, build, test, and deliver data engineering software functionality for data products and applications. Conduct data analysis to assess data quality and drive business decisions. Utilize skills in data analysis, data pipeline orchestration, and data modelling to contribute to the exploration and understanding of new tools and techniques, and propose improvements to existing technologies. Communicate with stakeholders on project deliverables based on understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and best practices. Must possess at least a masters degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field and at least 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer or related role. Must also possess the following: at least 1 year of experience with data analysis, data pipeline orchestration, and data modelling; at least 1 year of experience with Python and SQL; at least 1 year of experience with object-oriented programming concepts and best practices; and at least 1 year of experience with software lifecycle and version control systems, such as git.
