A day in this seat
Your shift begins with a thorough walkaround: you complete pre-trip checks, confirm your route with dispatch, and roll out on schedule. On the road, you drive defensively, follow all traffic regulations, and keep customers updated through professional, timely communication. At each stop, you handle cargo carefully, secure loads properly, and document mileage and fuel. Before you finish, you complete a post-trip inspection and make sure records are accurate and complete.
What you'll handle
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle to deliver goods on time.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is road-ready and compliant.
- Maintain precise logs for deliveries, miles driven, and fuel usage.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with dispatchers and teammates to manage schedules and resolve issues.
- Load and unload cargo with care; secure materials to prevent shifting or damage.
- Deliver a courteous, solution-oriented customer experience at every stop.
What you bring
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record.
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Comfort operating different types of commercial trucks and equipment.
- Clear communication skills and a professional, customer-first mindset.
- Self-starter with strong time management who can work independently.
