What your day looks like
As our Print Packaging Quality Assurance Auditor , you’ll move between the Press Room, Die Cutting, Folding Gluing, Bindery, and Labels areas, applying the quality plan specific to each department throughout the folding‑carton workflow.
- Begin by checking incoming raw materials and verifying setup/make‑ready conditions.
- Conduct First Article reviews, perform in‑process sampling, and complete final acceptance sampling before release.
- Run hands‑on tests, including print characteristics, gloss, appearance, dimensions, thickness, product compatibility, scuff/scratch resistance, ink/varnish/foil adhesion, code verification, bond, opening force, and closing and drop testing.
- Decide material/product disposition—accept, block, or reject—based on objective criteria.
- Capture data in our systems and create product identification tags (load tags, quarantine tags, scrap authorization tickets, etc.).
- Assemble customer samples, color range books, final product samples, and defect panoplies as needed.
- Share results and insights with Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service, and Shipping to keep work flowing.
