Front Server
TERA MERA is seeking well-qualified servers to join our growing team!
We are a restaurant and wine bar located on Court Street in historic Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. We are desire full-time experienced servers with a passion for hospitality. Qualified servers would have guest satisfaction always at the forefront of their service style. Candidates would be organized, efficient multitaskers, and can handle a fast paced busy restaurant. We prefer candidates that are familiar with South Asian cuisine, being familiar with Indian street food is a plus.
We just opened this past summer, so joining our team you truly can have a huge impact on the growth of our restaurant. Since opening, we have a had an amazing response: local regulars, people visiting from all across the world, and truly beautiful memories including a Mehndi ceremony! We want to bring you along this journey.
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities :
- 1 years Serving Experience
- Ability to create positive guest experiences
- Strong work ethic
- Honest, organized and clean
- Knowledge of wines is a plus
- Barista experience is a plus
- Bartending experience is a plus
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be responsible and arrive according to scheduled time
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift 30 + pounds for the duration of your shift
- Must be able to work in a busy restaurant environment (including a tolerance for high or low temperatures and the ability to work with hazardous substances, such as hot oil).
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
- Must be able to work weekends, nights, per the business needs.
As a team member, primary duties and responsibilities include (and are not limited to):
- Ensuring each guest has a positive experience at TERA MERA
- Present a professional and polished image
- Maintain strict adherence to food handling, and safety procedures
- Prompt reporting of safety, sanitation, and guest concerns to management
- Provide assistance to other team members as needed, and support tasks as directed by supervisor
- Keep all counters and stations cleaned and well-stocked
- Safely and effectively use chemical cleaning products
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the shift, including periodic cleaning during downtime, as requested by managers or supervisors.
- Collaborate with other team members as necessary to ensure a positive experience for each guest.
- Maintain the cleanliness of our dining room tables, chairs, doors, windows and floor.
- Ensure our bathrooms are clean and well-stocked
