Financial Analyst – Accounting Department (Remote)

Salary: $61,000–$117,000 (commensurate with experience and location)
Work Model: Fully Remote
Reports To: Manager of Business Analytics

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in budgeting, compensation planning, and process improvement initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities

Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting

• Assist in preparing and validating data templates for firmwide review processes.
• Support month-end close activities, including headcount and FTE analysis.
• Generate hiring and attrition trend analyses to guide workforce planning.
• Help establish and track compensation and bonus review cycles.
• Conduct benchmarking analyses and support annual budgeting cycles.
• Develop summary materials for Budget Committee presentations and executive meetings.
• Contribute to ongoing maintenance and improvement of the firm’s budgeting and forecasting software.

Process Improvement

• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline reporting.
• Document and refine recurring processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Accounting, and IT to optimize data flow and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.
• 0–2 years of experience in an analytical or finance-related position.
• Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with strong time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with budgeting/forecasting software platforms.
• Familiarity with SQL or similar query languages for data extraction.
• Experience using visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
