Client Manager - Agriculture

As the leading line of business, UMB's bottom line is directly impacted by the growth of our Commercial Agricultural portfolio . The team consists of Portfolio Managers, Underwriters, Credit Analysts, Treasury Management and Commercial Card professionals, and Capital Markets partners. This team manages Ag relationships throughout its life - developing meaningful connections with the management of the companies they serve. Always mindful of the changes in the company, its industry, etc., over time that might create a change in their financial service needs.

As the Client Manager you will manage a portfolio and will have a secondary focus on selling deeper into the customer relationship. You will have responsibility for a mid-to-large size portfolio including complicated credits. You will also grow revenue as directed by senior management to meet established goals by successfully prospecting new opportunities with existing clients and making appropriate referrals.

How you'll spend your time:

• You will partner with other officers to effectively administer the management of assigned commercial banking relationships.

• You will maintaina portfolio by calling on existing customers to expand existing business, ensure excellent client relations & proper servicing of account(s), and ensure the portfolio's credit quality.

• You will provide recurring customer service to existing and prospective clients, which includes direct contact with customers either through participation in joint sales calls with other officers or direct correspondence with clients and perform various projects/tasks as needed with an emphasis on maintaining UMB TUCE at all times.

• You will serve as a conduit for all product lines and match client needs with appropriate products. Proactively look for cross selling opportunities on bank products.

• You possess a bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting / Finance or equivalent experience in a related field.

• You have 5+ years commercial banking or lending experience including credit underwriting.

• You demonstrateadvanced knowledge of credit and understanding of underwriting.

• You demonstrate strong financial acumen.

• You demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding in how to identify and process maturing loans, line renewals, term loans that need to be extended, how loans can be restructured, approval process, change terms, etc.

• You demonstrateability to interpret policies/procedures, loan contracts, and understanding of credit reports, financial statements and loan documents.

• You demonstrateability to be self-starter and show initiative.

• You demonstratestrong communication skills (verbal & written).

• You demonstrateproficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• You demonstrateability to manage time effectively.

• You have the ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company.

• You demonstrate strong analytical skills.

• You have strategic sales meetings skills.

Bonus points if:

• You have 3+ years of managing middle market relationships.

• You have knowledge of bank products, services, and bank operations.

• You have product training.

Compensation Range:

$69,230.00 - $149,000.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB's standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
