Healthcare Billing Supervisor

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Billing Supervisor to lead our revenue cycle operations. This role oversees patient and third-party billing, accounts receivable, collections, and staff management, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and New York State billing regulations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Epic applications , ICD-9/ICD-10 , and CPT coding , along with proven supervisory skills in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily billing operations, including patient and third-party accounts receivable.
• Train, mentor, and schedule billing staff to ensure productivity and compliance.
• Review and monitor operational data, workflow efficiency, and billing accuracy.
• Handle account follow-ups, adjustments, and payer communications.
• Serve as liaison between management, staff, and external organizations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, New York State regulations, and internal policies.
• Resolve patient billing inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Prepare staff performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency in Epic applications and medical billing software.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 , CPT coding , and third-party billing regulations.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
• Certified Professional Coder ( CPC ) or Certified Coding Specialist ( CCS/CCSP ) required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform routine office activities; occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Work primarily indoors with standard office equipment.
