Payroll / Accounting Specialist
Payroll/Accounting Specialist
- Process payroll on a biweekly basis
- Prepare & upload deduction files securely to providers
- Maintain payroll records, deductions, and benefits tracking
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Reconcile payroll to the general ledger
- Quarterly reconciliation of form 941
- Processing year-end W-2
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Support audits and respond to payroll-related inquiries
- Collaborate with HR on employee data changes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of payroll and/or accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with tools like UKG
- Working knowledge of Great Plains or equivalent
- Strong Excel skills
- Understanding of payroll laws and tax compliance
- Pay $25-$30
- High attention to detail and accuracy
