About the Role

The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for compiling, recording, and analyzing routine accounts payable transactions while ensuring strict compliance with corporate policies and procedures. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records through high-volume invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings strong full-cycle AP experience, deep knowledge of purchase order matching, and hands-on expertise with ERP and invoice workflow systems in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile, record, and analyze routine accounts payable transactions

• Ensure all AP transactions comply with corporate policies and internal procedures

• Manage and maintain invoice data entry for assigned vendor groups or letter ranges in both domestic and foreign currencies

• Perform two-way and three-way purchase order matching accurately and efficiently

• Utilize ERP systems and invoice workflow tools to process and track invoices

• Conduct vendor account analysis and perform account reconciliations

• Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

• Respond to internal and external inquiries while providing a high level of customer service

• Apply strong attention to detail to support accurate month-end close activities

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience

• Strong proficiency with purchase orders and two-way and three-way matching

• Hands-on experience with Concur and Oracle

• Solid experience in accounting, invoicing, and reconciliation

• Familiarity with SAP and automated invoice processing systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working within ERP platforms and invoice workflow systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written, verbal, and customer service communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Work Environment

• Based in Sleepy Hollow, where all corporate Accounting and Finance teams are located

• Hybrid schedule with four days onsite and one day remote

• Part of a collaborative 15-person Accounts Payable team

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sleepy Hollow, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $65.00/hr.
