Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Location: Hamilton, NY 13346

Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week

Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
(Includes 30-Minute Unpaid Break)

Compensation

• Traveler Pay: $2,126 Weekly
• Local Pay: $1,600 Weekly

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and certified Surgical Technologist to support a fast-paced Operating Room team in a hospital setting. The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring the operating room is properly prepared for each case.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Perform surgical scrubbing duties for a variety of operative procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
• Assist with patient positioning, room turnover, and preparation for subsequent cases
• Ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital setting required
• Current Surgical Technologist certification required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Prior Operating Room scrub experience required
