Vice President level

We are seeking a day-to-day leader and client relationship-holder who has broad experience working in the pharmaceutical space. In partnership with senior leaders and supporting team members, the candidate will oversee a range of projects, serve as a client point-person, coach junior staffers, contribute to strategic planning, manage financials and staffing, and ensure high quality of client deliverables.

Working across oncology and rare disease, you would have the unique opportunity to build relationships with well-established clients. The work includes a mix of U.S. data and Congress communications, branded consumer campaigns across traditional and social media, branded sponsored content, influencer work, and patient education/marketing.

Responsibilities:

• Support senior leads in development and execution of communications across consumer, corporate/thought leadership and milestone communications plans as well as branded patient education and marketing initiatives
• Act as day-to-day client lead for core clients
• Oversee teams on execution, ensuring timely delivery of flawless materials and strategic counsel
• Robust, cross-functional project management and collaboration with shared services, vendors, media and other third-parties
• Manage and coach team members to support their professional growth
• Supervise and manage financial and business operations (e.g., budget, billing, forecasting)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a professional environment within the healthcare public relations and/or communications industries
• Experience and interest in healthcare communications (required); experience in oncology (preferred), experience with data communications (preferred), experience with celebrity and influencers (preferred), experience with branded consumer tactics (preferred), experience on event planning (preferred)
• Proven experience in client relations, plan development and budget management
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and third-parties
• Drive to be a self-starter/self-motivator

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $150K–$170K. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
