What You’ll Do:

• Represent indigent clients in criminal cases in Ulster County Court.
• Provide zealous, client-centered advocacy in and out of the courtroom.
• Work closely with a supportive team of attorneys, investigators, social workers, and staff to build strong defenses.
• Gain unmatched courtroom experience.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and compassion while making a tangible impact in Ulster County communities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Admission to practice law in New York State.
• Experienced trial lawyer, with at least three years practicing criminal law, who can handle cases from initial investigation through motions, plea negotiations, and the actual courtroom proceedings, including jury selection and presentation of evidence.
• Strong commitment to criminal defense, social justice, and public service.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload with determination and creativity.
• A passion for ensuring fairness and dignity for every client.
