HR Assistant

We have an outstanding Contract position for an HR Assistant to join a leading Company located in Inwood, NY.

Pay Rate:$20.00 - $25.00

The HR Assistant partnerswith our Safety and Compliance team to enhance the organization's HR initiatives by facilitating the efficient background checks and onboarding ofnew hires.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists with the FBI background check, fingerprinting, and badging processes.
• Serves as a liaison to candidates going through onboarding.
• Understands and explains company policies, programs, benefits andrelated information.
• Maintains employee personnel files, bulletin boards, recruiting tracker, exit interview tracker, and attendance system.
• Ensures that weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
• Able to work 1st shift, Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• 2-year college or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior work experience with at least 2 years ofan administrative role with a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.
• Experience working in an airline, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing orfood service environment is highly desirable.
• Candidatemust have strong interpersonal skills, and be highly organized, action-oriented andcollaborative.
• Must have strong computer and database application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
