DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

OTC pharmaceutical manufacturer in Hauppauge, Long Island, NY, seeks a Departmental Administrative Assistant to join our fast-paced team.

The Departmental Administrative Assistant position is an exciting opportunity to join LNK International's quickly growing team in Hauppauge, NY. This is an entry-to-mid-level career position for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant passionate and intrigued by purchasing and the pharmaceutical industry. We are looking for a candidate who will be a long-term team member and become an integral part of a strong procurement team.

Responsibilities

• Support the procurement department with general administrative and purchasing related tasks
• The ability to handle multiple complex projects and purchasing tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Positively interact with internal customers and outside vendors.
• Create purchase orders for processing to Accounts Payable
• Track purchase orders for projects and maintain files.
• Special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience

• An Associate's Degree or equivalent related working experience or courses (High school diploma required).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional office environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude, self-motivated, and possess excellent interpersonal skills
