RN Ambulatory - Syracuse, NY (#25242).

Location: Syracuse, NY.
Employment Type: Full-time.
Hourly Rate: $65/hour.

Position Overview:

Deliver specialized nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical setting, focusing on burn, trauma, and general surgery patients. Join a collaborative team committed to excellence in outpatient care.

• Experience: Outpatient oncology experience with the administration of chemotherapy is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Education: ADN/BSN from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active NY RN License.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of comparable size and level as Hospital.
  • Must have experience in ambulatory, oncology or surgical settings.
  • Travel nurses must have experience in hospitals of equal or larger size or trauma centers .
• Technical Skills:
  • BLS certification required; must be able to maintain/renew certification as needed.
  • EPIC EMR proficiency (preferred).
• Soft Skills:
  • Patient education expertise.
  • Team collaboration in high-volume settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for surgical/trauma patients.
• Educate patients/families on post-procedure care.
• Coordinate with surgical teams for seamless care transitions.
• Maintain accurate EPIC documentation.
• Adhere to infection control protocols in specialty areas.
