Intermediate Teacher

Saint Louis School, a faith-centered and academically driven Catholic elementary school, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Intermediate Teacher. This role involves creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, academic, and social development of students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English Language Arts, capable of teaching multiple intermediate grade levels, and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development and Instruction:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fourth-grade curriculum that aligns with Catholic values and academic standards.
• Teach core subjects, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, using innovative and effective instructional strategies.
• Design and deliver English Language Arts lessons that cater to the needs of students across multiple intermediate grade levels.
• Classroom Management:
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and active participation.
• Establish and maintain classroom routines and procedures to support student learning and behavior management.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Faith Integration:
• Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into daily lessons and classroom activities.
• Lead and participate in religious activities, including prayer, Mass, and other faith-based events.
• Serve as a role model for students, demonstrating a commitment to the Catholic faith and moral values.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration to support the school’s mission and goals.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and involving them in their child’s education.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Previous experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
• Strong knowledge of English Language Arts curriculum and instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate Catholic values into the curriculum and classroom activities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and student learning.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and faith-filled learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching multiple intermediate grade levels.
• Familiarity with current educational technology and software.

Pay: $34,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
