Receptionist

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and external partners. This role is responsible for maintaining a professional front desk environment, managing building access, answering and routing phone calls, and performing Excel-based reporting and administrative support for multiple departments. The Receptionist will also assist with conference room setup, meeting logistics, and ordering lunches or other services as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in visitors, vendors, and employees, ensuring proper building access and adherence to security procedures.

• Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

• Maintain visitor logs and support a professional, welcoming lobby environment.

• Schedule, set up, and break down conference rooms for meetings, including coordination of seating, technology, and supplies.

• Order lunches, catering, and meeting-related services as requested.

• Prepare and maintain reports in Microsoft Excel, including tracking, data entry, and basic analysis for various departments.

• Assist with administrative tasks and ad hoc projects for internal teams as needed.

• Communicate effectively with internal departments to support daily office operations.

• Monitor front desk activity and ensure a safe, organized, and professional office environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Strong administrative skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in reporting and administrative support.

• 3+ years of administrative experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• College Degree.

Work Environment

The Receptionist will be stationed at the front desk, working independently. The work hours are firm, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blauvelt, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
