PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Manufacturing company, financially stable, long time in operation, plants USA and offshore DOD AEROSPACE MACHINING ENVIRONMENT, pharma & food not considered. Our client is ready to interview.

Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience. Mechanical abilities required. Metal Casting and or extrusion experience a plus. Other knowledge helpful but not mandatory. MRP/Inventory Control; Lean Manufacturing 5-S; and Quality Control. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
5 to 7 years Supervisory experience. Mechanical aptitude required. Experience with injection molding; tool & die making; MRP/Inventory Control; Union Shop; Lean Manufacturing 5-S; and Quality Control. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Associates degree a PLUS, not mandatory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for overall direction, coordination of department(s) consisting multiple employees. (6to 10)
• Inspects products for conformance.
• Directs setup and adjustments of machines and process equipment.
• Sets/adjusts production schedules.
• Applies and enforces company policies and safety regulations
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Troubleshoot complicated equipment
• Inspection and Maintenance – familiarity with methods and procedures
• Must be able to lift or move up to 30 lbs.
• tool & die inspection .
• Directs setup and adjustments of machines.
