Chanel Senior Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect
- Architect Powerful Solutions: Design robust Marketing Cloud architecture, including data models and automation frameworks that deliver seamless and scalable campaign execution
- Guide Key Decisions: Influence platform configurations, custom development, and integration patterns, ensuring each solution is tailored to Chanel's business needs
- Integrate Seamlessly: Techn ical oversite of Salesforce Mar keting Clo ud connecti vity with CRM sy stem, client e ngagement chan nel s, and per sonaliz ation pl atform s, ensuring a unified client experi ence
- Ensure Smooth Data Operations: Develop APIs, data connectors, and middleware for real-time data flow, enabling accurate and timely insights across teams
- Optimize Automations: Build and refine advanced automations using tools like Automation Studio and Journey Builder, leveraging scripting to personalize every client interaction , in partnership with the business
- Drive Personalization Technology : Lead the technical integration of dynamic content, segmentation, and personalization logic, elevating the client journey
- Champion Data Excellence: Model client data, orchestrate ETL processes, and define data extension strategies that support marketing objectives and drive business growth
- Safeguard Data Integrity: Maintain data hygiene, security, and compliance across all integrated systems, upholding Chanel's reputation for excellence and trust
- Set Technical Standards: Establish and enforce best practices in coding, documentation, and platform management, ensuring every project meets Chanel's exacting standards
- Mentor & Empower: Guide and train developers, administrators, and marketers on SFMC capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical mastery
- Lead Collaboration: Act as the technical bridge between business stakeholders, Tech, and Salesforce support, translating business goals into actionable technical solutions
- Promote Data Literacy: Document and explain data models, enabling teams to confidently access and leverage client data for impactful campaigns
- Enable Self-Service: Develop and share reusable query templates, dashboards, and reports, empowering teams with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed
- Ensure Compliance: Implement and enforce stringent data privacy standards and regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits to protect client information
- Support Insights: Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL in BigQuery; build and maintain Looker dashboards and visualizations; and generate detailed, technical solutions to support data-driven decision-making
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud AI readiness: ability to assess how AI can improve campaign execution, segmentation, journey optimization, personalization, data quality, and operational efficiency
- Data foundation for AI: strong understanding that effective AI use cases depend on clean, governed, well-modeled client and campaign data, including consent, suppression logic, identity resolution, and data lineage
- Agentic marketing operations: ability to identify where Salesforce agents or AI-assisted workflows could reduce manual campaign tasks, improve campaign QA, accelerate audience builds, and support troubleshooting
- Being highly collaborative, adaptable to different audiences and ways of working
- Ability to navigate and influence cross-functionally, acting as a team player

- Ability to independently identify issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on technical architecture experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other leading marketing automation platforms (e.g., Adobe Campaign, Oracle Eloqua, HubSpot)
- In-depth understanding of marketing data processing, including data segmentation, transformation, and audience management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and optimize marketing campaigns based on performance metrics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficient with data integration tools and processes for connecting Salesforce Marketing Cloud to other systems (e.g., CRM, web platforms, POS, analytics tools)
- Experience with API integrations, ETL processes, and third-party data connectors relevant to marketing platforms
- Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) and best practices in managing customer data securely
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, resolve data issues, and ensure data quality within marketing technology environments
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate with technical and executive stakeholders
- Based in New York City with hybrid work model - 3 days on-site minimum in Midtown Manhattan - New York City (NYC preferred, will consider candidates for office in Piscataway, NJ)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Tech nical Architecture with a minimum of 5 years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise . Salesforce Certifications- Marketing Cloud Administrator is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A master's degree is a plus .
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $87,500-$190,000. A base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks .
