Full Stack Engineer
Careerscape is hiring a Full Stack Engineer for a fast-growing NYC-based technology company with a fully remote engineering team. This remote full stack developer job is ideal for experienced software engineers who want to build end-to-end web applications, ship production code that real users depend on, and work across modern frontend and backend technologies.
As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll design and develop scalable web applications using React, Node.js, TypeScript, and cloud infrastructure on AWS. You'll partner with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality features from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features across the frontend and backend of a modern SaaS product
- Develop scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs that power web and mobile applications
- Create responsive, accessible user interfaces using React, Next.js, or Vue
- Design data models and write efficient SQL queries across PostgreSQL and other databases
- Collaborate with product and design teams to scope, build, and ship new features
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, write automated tests, and improve overall code quality
- Monitor production systems and resolve performance, reliability, and observability issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3+ years of professional full stack software development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with React or another modern frontend framework
- Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or Go
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
- Experience with Git, code review, and CI/CD workflows
- Strong written communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environmentExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, or infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
- Background in event-driven architectures, message queues, or real-time systems
- Previous experience at a high-growth startup or SaaS company
