Founding Account Executive
Location: New York, NY (Chelsea)
Work Model: Onsite, 5 days per week

Compensation: $220,000–$240,000 OTE (base salary + variable compensation) + equity

Our partner is a profitable, early-stage AI infrastructure company building software that automates and scales web data extraction. Their platform enables organizations to reliably collect and structure web data without the operational burden and fragility of traditional scraping solutions.
The team is small, highly collaborative, and growing thoughtfully. With real customers, strong year-over-year growth, and a focus on building an in-person culture, the company offers the upside of an early-stage startup without the instability often associated with one.
The Opportunity
This is a Founding Account Executive role for a seller who wants ownership, not training wheels. You’ll be one of the first AEs on the team, responsible for building pipeline, closing deals, and helping define how sales works as the company scales.
You’ll operate in a high-autonomy environment, working closely with leadership on strategy, messaging, and larger deals, while independently driving day-to-day execution. This role is best suited for someone energized by ambiguity and motivated by building something from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, and close
- Self-source the majority of pipeline in a true hunter role
- Close deals ranging from approximately $10K to $100K+ ACV
- Partner with leadership on larger, more complex sales opportunities
- Help establish foundational sales processes, playbooks, and tooling
- Provide feedback on ICP expansion, positioning, and go-to-market strategy
- Contribute to shaping the future sales organization, including hiring input
Requirements
- 2+ years of closing experience in a B2B sales role (flexibility for exceptional candidates)
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage your own pipeline
- Experience selling deals in the $10K–$100K+ ACV range
- Comfort operating in an early-stage, unstructured environment
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Based in or willing to relocate to New York City and work onsite full-time
