Kelly Services is partnering with a local client who is seeking a dependable Extrusion Press Operator to join their team in Glens Falls, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical mindset and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
As an Extrusion Press Operator, you’ll operate specialized equipment used to produce high-quality metal strip and wire products. You’ll work closely with skilled technicians in a supportive environment where safety, communication, and continuous improvement are top priorities.Key Responsibilities:Operate and monitor the extrusion press and supporting equipment
Set and maintain billet heater/furnace temperatures
Ensure correct material labeling and segregation to prevent alloy cross-contamination
Inspect and maintain extrusion dies and stems
Use hand and power tools, including saws
Operate overhead cranes and forklifts
Accurately document production data in ERP systems and work orders
Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
Follow all safety procedures and promote a safety-first culture

Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED (required)
Prior experience with heavy machinery or in a manufacturing setting preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude; able to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Self-motivated and team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Physical & Safety Requirements:Comfortable working with high-temperature equipment
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
