Brunch Cook

Laurent Tourondel is looking for a talented brunch cook! Join our team at L'Amico and work with pizza, fresh pasta and bake in wood burning ovens. We're looking for Saturday, Sunday and Monday am shift.

Job Overview:

A line cook is expected to prepare food, help kitchen workers in the preparation of food items and set up allocated stations for menu, as instructed by Chef and compliant with standards. This position also arranges, prepares and break downs the station while maintaining the uppermost hygienic standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

• Provides technically proficient service to all guests and for being their advocate throughout their LTH experience;

• Treats all co-workers in a respectful manner;

• Communicates openly and thoroughly with supervisor and for bringing all guest concerns to supervisor’s attention immediately;

• Clearly communicates schedule requests or obtaining proper approval for all shift changes and for being appropriately dressed and ready to work at the scheduled time;

• Adheres to all LTH recipes (except for guests’ allergies), policies, and procedures;

• Possesses thorough knowledge of and for being able to accurately and attractively describe all food and beverage products;

• Possesses thorough knowledge of LTH, its origin, and philosophy and enthusiastically offering to share that knowledge with all guests;

• Sets up and stock stations with all necessary supplies;

• Prepares food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces);

• Cooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff;

• Answers, reports and follows Executive or Sous Chef’s instructions;

• Clean up station and takes care of leftover food;

• Stocks inventory appropriately;

• Ensures that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion;

• Complies with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards;

• Maintains a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers;

Requirements :

• Culinary school diploma preferred

• High school diploma or further educational certification or degree

• Proven cooking experience

• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

• Familiar with industry’s best practices

• Sufficient exposure, generally a minimum of two years in a similar type of foodservice establishment

• Prior experience in hospitality

• Flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Strong communication skills

• Comfort in a high-paced/high-volume environment

• Solid work ethic

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and reach with little to no accommodations needed for possible extended periods of time

• Able to carry/hold more than 50 lbs.
