Bartender
Jean’s Restaurant is a vibrant, service-driven dining destination in New York known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality food, and crafted beverages. The Bartender plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience through skilled drink preparation, warm hospitality, and smooth bar operations. Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests at the bar, take drink/food orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Jean’s Restaurant standards.
Maintain expertise in the restaurant’s drink menu and seasonal specials.
Operate POS systems, manage tabs, and handle payments accurately.
Ensure the bar is clean, stocked, and organized throughout service.
Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar tools as needed.
Verify guest identification and comply with New York State liquor laws and safety guidelines.
Monitor guest intoxication levels and practice responsible alcohol service.
Work collaboratively with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
Create a warm, friendly, and memorable bar experience for every guest.
Proven bartending experience in a restaurant, lounge, or high-volume NYC environment.
Strong mixology skills and knowledge of classic + contemporary cocktails.
Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
Ability to multitask and stay composed during busy service periods.
Familiarity with Toast and basic cash handling.
Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol in New York.
Mixology certification, TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol certification.
Wine knowledge or formal beverage training.
