Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Locum Tenens Healthcare Opportunity in Utica, NY

Estimated Weekly Salary
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2110 - $2170
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel nursing contract)
- Location: Utica, NY 13502 (Central New York healthcare jobs)
- Unit: Medical/Surgical – 6th Floor
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/24/2026)
- Floating: Required to other units
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- EMR: EPIC
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NURSYS verification)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience, including travel nurse assignments
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Skills checklist for Med/Surg specialty
- Two recent Med/Surg Charge/Manager RN references
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Valid driver's license with matching address
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with post-surgical and medical diagnoses (including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, bariatric surgery)
- Operate specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
- Float to other units to support hospital staffing needs
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
