PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens Nursing Job in Watertown, NY
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a locum tenens PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) position in Watertown, New York. - Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 29, 2025
- End Date: December 31, 2025
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (4 shifts/week, various times)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2450 - $2510 per week
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York RN license preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS certification required
- IV certification required
- Minimum 1 year of hospital RN experience preferred
- At least one successful travel nurse assignment completed
- Strong clinical knowledge of PACU and perioperative nursing principles
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Permanent residence must be at least 60 miles from Watertown, NY
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PACU and Pre-Operative settings
- Assess and address patient needs, including clinical, educational, and emotional support
- Ensure patient safety, including safe patient movement and adherence to clinical protocols
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving and function well under pressure
- Prioritize, delegate, and potentially assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
